About this notice

This privacy notice is provided by The Y-Factory Ltd, the Data Processor for and on behalf of Places for People, the Data Controller. It explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data and what your rights are with regards to that data. This notice applies to the processing of your personal data for the duration of the project of the proposed development known as Land at HSDC Campus in Crookhorn, which is being proposed by Places for People.

Who we are

Places for People Group Limited is the Data Controller of the personal data processed. This means that we are responsible for deciding how we collect, use and store your personal data. Please refer to Places for People’s main privacy notice for further information on how they process personal data for other purposes.

Information we collect

Places for People collects personal data about you when you partake in this public consultation.

We collect, store and use the following categories of personal data:

  • Name
  • Contact Information (Email, Phone, Address, Post Code)
  • Personal opinions contained within feedback questions and/or comments that depending on content could be used to identify you as an individual
  • Images and videos that might be able to identify you as an individual

How we process your information

We use the personal data stated above for the following purposes:

  • To understand the public view regarding the proposed development and to use feedback to inform the development of the scheme; and
  • To help us understand who is responding to our consultation and their potential needs from the development.
  • To keep you informed about the consultation.

What lawful basis do we have to process your personal data?

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. This is called the lawful basis. In regards to the above purposes, we rely on the following lawful basis:

  • Consent where you have provided your personal information for the purpose of keeping informed about the consultation

Who is the information shared with?

The information collected as part of this public consultation is controlled by Places for People as Data Controller and processed by The Y-Factory as Data Processor. The information may be shared with members of the Land at HSDC Campus in Widley project team, which include Places for People staff as well as individuals who are employed by companies who provide professional services to Places for People as their client (their consultants). Where is your personal data stored and processed?

All personal data collected is stored and processed within the United Kingdom.

How long do we keep your personal data?

Your data will be kept for the duration of this project progressing through the planning process.

For the purposes of security all paper records will be destroyed as soon as they have been uploaded digitally onto our systems, which are password protected.

Your rights

Under data protection legislation, in certain circumstances you have the following rights over the processing of your personal data as described in this notice:

  • right of access to personal data;
  • right to correction or rectification;
  • right to request deletion; and
  • right to data portability
